This effect poses a significant risk to patients with glaucoma, where increased pressure can exacerbate their condition and lead to further complications.

In contrast, while hypertension, bipolar disorder, and asthma may require careful consideration when prescribing various medications, they do not specifically contraindicate the use of antisialogogues in the same manner as glaucoma does. Therefore, individuals with glaucoma must avoid these medications to prevent adverse ocular effects.
